How the program has supported you
I was able to travel to the CEEA Conference and give a podium presentation for engineering educators across Canada. We were able to connect with professors and individuals interested in bettering the learning experience for students and ensuring equity among all cohorts in courses with multiple cohorts. Personally, I was able to present for the first time at a conference, and it was a very valuable experience.
Outcomes
Working on this paper and presentation, I was able to develop my professional development skills by giving a podium presentation and networking at this conference. Professors from across the country attended and was able to gain insight on our tool and how it could benefit their own teaching and ensure students in their courses would receive a positive and equitable learning experience. I was able to meet and learn from others as well, especially in the diversity, equity and inclusion aspect in the education world.
